Sentier du Coq de Roche

The Cock-of-the-Rock Trail is located in Roura, in French Guiana, along the Kaw road, just before the sawmill.

The trail is 1.5 km round trip, with an average duration of about 1 hour 30.

Between November and January, males gather in display arenas ("leks") to court females.

Be patient and quiet, and use binoculars to minimise disturbance. The species has been fully protected since 1986.
