The Saut Hermina is located downstream from the town of Apatou, on the Maroni River, in French Guiana. This site consists of several small islands, one of which has a basic riverside shelter (carbet) with a few amenities such as wooden tables and benches. The shelter can accommodate a few hammocks, making it possible to spend a night in the middle of the river.

When the water level is low, it becomes a pleasant opportunity for swimming in relatively clear water.
