It depicts a Kalin'a indigenous warrior blending tradition and modernity: the traditional headdress feathers are replaced by angular forms, and the warrior wears a golden music helmet — a reference to modern culture.

It is situated near the École Jean Macé on Route de Montabo in Cayenne, French Guiana.
