Crique Patate : lieu de baignade prisé

Crique Patate is in the commune of Macouria, close to the île de Cayenne. From the RN1, take the D5 toward Montsinnery, just before the Zoo de Guyane.

The site is tidal. Currents can be strong on the ebb tide. At high tide, water covers many rocks — diving head-first is strongly discouraged.

There used to be wooden picnic structures, but almost nothing remains today. There are no bins: please take all your rubbish with you.

Yes. If the white dirt track entrance is blocked, leave your vehicle on the roadside and walk about ten minutes to the creek.
